About Me
Everything starts with a question,
'How can I make things better?'.
This is me, looking into the distance, thinking about how I can make things better!
The only way to answer this is to really understand you and, most importantly, the needs of the audience that interacts with you.
I’m a product designer with over 25 years of experience. Before branching out on my own, I worked as a Creative Director and partner at a design agency.
Product thinking is integral to my work. To deliver the most impactful outcomes, it’s crucial to join the dots between user needs (desirable), business goals (viable), and technical reality (feasible). It’s not good enough to just design something ‘pretty’ - it needs to be anchored and fuelled by real data to ensure that what gets delivered is the right solution to the problem.
This all happens through research, whether it’s heuristics, interviews, or data. Then comes the ideation, sketching, testing, wireframing, testing, prototyping, testing, test... You get the gist.
Increasingly, my client work includes building out fully scalable design systems, from the ground up, starting with variables (design tokens). As an extension of this, more and more clients are looking to leverage AI capabilities to drive efficiencies within their projects. I’m able to help deliver these efficiencies through enabling agentic AI code building, and design exploration via MCP server connections between Figma, Claude, or whatever flavour of AI my customers hang their hats on.
I'm an Agile sort of fella but can also appreciate a Waterfall every now and then. A big football fan (Spurs, if you must know!) but equally at home in a Scrum. Not much of a fitness fanatic but can Sprint with the best of them.
